Hey everyone,
so far I worked with the Daw Cakewalk without any problems. I'm just getting into Reaper and have a problem when I load a Unify patch and try to record a midi from Scaler2 for example.
I load Scaler in one track and Unify in the other track. I route the signal from Scaler to Unify. So far everything is fine I hear the sound of Unify when I play Scaler. If I now try to record the midi in the Unify track I only get an empty midi recording. A .wav recording works.
If I load any other VST instrument instead of Unify, the midi recording also works.
What am I doing wrong?
Windows 10; Reaper 6, Unify 1.10

bisher arbeitete ich mit der Daw Cakewalk ohne probleme. Ich arbeite mich gerade in Reaper ein und habe ein Problem, wenn ich einen Unify Patch lade und versuche zum Beispiel von Scaler2 ein Midi aufzunehmen.
Ich lade in einem Track Scaler und in dem anderen Track Unify. Ich route das Signal von Scaler zu Unify. Soweit ist alles in Ordnung ich höre wenn ich Scaler abspiele den Sound von Unify. Wenn ich nun versuche das Midi in der Unifyspur aufzunehmen bekomme ich nur eine leere Midi Aufnahme. Eine .wav Aufnahe funktioniert.
Wenn ich statt Unify ein anderes beliebiges VST Instrument lade, funktioniert auch die Midi Aufnahme.
Was mache ich falsch?

I suspect the problem is that you need to record the MIDI output-stream from Scaler, but Reaper is trying to record MIDI from Unify. Unify does not output MIDI.
I'm sure there is a way to set up Reaper to work the way you want, but I don't know Reaper well enough to advise. Perhaps another user will be able to provide details.

thanks for your Answer. They are any Plans for the Future, that Unify get a Output Midi.

I'm working on a multi-feature paid upgrade for Unify that will include MIDI-out. I hope to have it out by end of this year.
