Check out Krakli Plugins http://www.krakliplugins.com/Plugins.aspx for an awesome CS-80 emulation (Arminator 2). Loads of great patches, some like Vangelis Blade Runner stuff. Its really responsive to after-touch!

Krakli's Cygnus is really spacey, and there are loads more interesting looking synths.

Listen to some of the sounds via https://www.facebook.com/groups/789769964483674/user/100004051634874/

And drop Krakli donation.

@pjsvis

I've maintained a web archive of Ian Webster's "Krakli" plug-ins for years: https://www.getdunne.net/Krakli/.

These are all made with SynthEdit, and all the older ones are made with the old 32-bit version, which means they are all 32-bit, Windows-only VSTs. They should mostly run in Unify via jBridge, but many people consider jBridge to be unstable.

I developed a way to run these old 32-bit Windows plug-ins on the Mac, but it no longer works on MacOS Catalina and later. (This was an adaptation of my NetVST project, which still works as a way to access both 64- and 32-bit Windows VSTs running on a Windows PC (even a virtual PC) across a fast local-area network. (For a more recent, more complete equivalent, see AudioGridder.)

It's very sad how technology's relentless advance kills off so much great creative work.

I just noticed that you maintain the archive. Good work. I should have mentioned the 32-bit Windows only thing in the post. Thanks for the correction.

I use jBridge in Unify on Windows 10 all the time and find it stable as a rock. Certainly more stable than some VST2 plugins...

I have over two dozen 32-bit plugins. They are just too good to ignore.

Arminator 2 combined with Keith McMillan's K-Board is a a total blast of future punk nostalgia for me.

just managed to ran Proteus VX with this on an older Macbook Pro.
Guess it's time to downgrade my main iMac to Mojave 😀
