These cloudcity patches are not working on my pc (Windows 10)

Yes, we're aware of this, thanks. John is working on an update to the Cloud City library, which will be available very soon.

As you can imagine, there are an enormous number of details to check, and it gets even more challenging when John is building patches while the Unify software itself is gaining new features. We're getting better at the process all the time.

Hello, I know you are working on updating the CloudCity library; This is why I am reporting a problem on the "BMP SPLIT - LFO MIDI test" patch. The Inst5 layer which contains the "BMP PERC - Shakers Only Groove 2" patch does not function normally. By reloading the original patch and saving the set under a different name, everything is functional.

Hi all,

This is about the Cloud City update version (July 24th) and the LiveStream about it yesterday.

At some point, John shows that there are presets in the, what I call, the XML-section of UNIFY.

When he clicks a Cloud City preset using that section, it just adds to the CC Layer, that's already there.

My version of UNIFY (v1.7) keeps crashing down when I want to reproduce what he did.

As JL is using a V1.8 could that explain my crashes? In other words v1.7 isn't ready yet?

Can you give a SPECIFIC example that crashes? I just tried loading an INST layer-preset in v1.1.7 and it worked, but there are many possibilities.

In short, any. Whatever I start out with, be it a CloudCity preset from the Browser and then go to the XML-section and try to click on one of the CloudCtiy there.

Even from the startup of UNIFY, where only the Default is loaded and then go to the XML-section and try to load any CloudCity preset, my UNIFY just crashes, as if it doesn't recognize it as an XML.

After restarting the computer (Windows 7 - 64) same story. Restarting the computer again, same story. I have no clue.

Sorry, what do you mean by "the XML section"? Exactly where are you clicking in Unify, and what are you selecting? I can't analyze or fix your problem until I can reproduce it, and for that I have to know exactly what to do.

Ooops, to be more specific NON of my (other) XMLs load either, so I guess it's not a CloudCity thing.

In UNIFY I use the LAYER button (top left) to get to my XMLs. There is also ClouCity (XMLs) after the update of july 24th.

I can see all the XMLs per VST (that's where I put them in the past), but when I click one, UNIFY crashes.

Could this info help?

And if it's a database issue on my end, you could send me an email please? because that would make it off topic here.

Addition: It's Add Instrument that does not work for getting XMLs to load, like I saw John do it in the Live Stream, BUT ... I did solve it partially by adding a new UNIFY layer and then load an XML using the button on the far right of that layer and use 'Replace from Layer preset'.
