CoreStation and syncing MIDI loops to proper downbeats, is it possible?

Maybe I'm missing something, but, when playing a Corestation drum loop such as "Battalion Bastille", I'd like to start the MIDI sequence on what ever measure I chose within the song and have it trigger starting at the begging of the loop. It seems it's clocked off the begging of the song. So, if it's a 4 bar loop and you trigger it at bar 2, you're starting the loop on it's 2nd bar. My "work around" has been to record the loop I want and then bounce it to audio so that I can then reposition it to start last the right place. Hopefully I'm a bonehead and there's an obvious thing one does so that these play back properly;-)

MIDIBox plays MIDI sequences aligned with the song position, just like tracks in your DAW.

One thing you can do is change the start measure in MIDIBox to something other than 1, and this should have the effect of shifting the loop by one or more measures.

From your question, I can't tell what effect you're trying to achieve. Could you explain with a bit more detail?

thanks. It turns out that if I turn off the midi sync function I can do what I want, as long as I don’t have tempo changes I need to follow. Or, I can drag the midi file in from midi box (if I don’t care about “performing” where the loops start and stop). Learning curves...;-)
