Del Norte EDM CHILL K5 Installation
I’ve never installed a 3rd party Kontakt library before. I bought the Del Norte library (for Unify) from PlugInGuru in February and want to get it into Kontakt on my new computer before installing the .guru file in Unify. I see no instructions on how to do this in the Del Norte EDM CHILL K5 Read ME.pdf file. On my Account page, there is no License Key for that purchase, and nothing in the email I received in February. I assume I need some way of licensing the library, but don’t know what the process is.
Apologies for any confusion. Thanks for purchasing Del Norte! You do not need to authorize either the Del Norte library or the Unified library. You should be able to install them as you did on your other computer. Please let me no if you have any other questions or concerns.
Thank you, Taylor. As I wrote, I’ve never installed this or any other 3rd party library into Kontakt before. I just use the Native Access app with NI libraries, and it takes care of everything. I bought Del Norte on sale with the plan to install it in the future. Instructions from Native Instruments says to use Native Access, which requires a serial number for Del Norte which I don’t have. I tried loading a single Del Norte .nki file directly into Kontakt from the Files tab. I get a message to locate the content. I do that, but I don’t get the Del Norte interface in the rack that I see at the start of the PlugInGuru installation video. The video starts with the interface already in the Kontakt rack. What do I do to get to that point? The .nki file does seem to play from the keyboard, but in the rack I get a bunch of gray boxes that look like placeholders for the various interface elements. I think I got it working. I selected “Search Spotlight” in the locate content pop up, and it opens the Del Norte interface into the Kontakt rack immediately. Now I just have to follow the instructions to get Kontakt locating and remembering where everything is.
@rfenmore Sorry for the delay, I have been traveling the past couple of days. You are on right track! Please follow the instructions included with the download. The reason you could not see the interface is because the resource file needs the other files in the Del Norte folder and perhaps they were not being located by Kontakt. Using the "search spotlight" function is definitely the way to go. Please let me know if you have any more questions or concerns. I need your help please. Why when I try to open this library : kontakt del norte I’ve got this return message? see file attached. Sorry but something seems doesn’t works . I followed all video instructions but the message always appear. I made the batch re save in Kontakt but when I open Unify always shows that message.I tried other instruments like Mega Magic bells…or k6 modern harpejji but all concerning kontakt libraries in unify doesn’t play!

From what I understand you are having issues using Kontakt libraries in Unify? Please make sure you have followed the included documentation to Use GURULINK to create symbolic links for Del Norte.
