In Omnisphere Standalone

Using Omniverse I in O2 standalone there's a patch called "BPM Synth - Pulsing 9 Nirvana". When I select this I get an error message in Omnisphere...

"Cannot load Soundsource "SYNTH-C3-Maxwell Anthem Stringz" in directory "User", try refreshing index in browser.

I have tried hitting the browser refresh but this has no effect.

Note: There is also a patch called "BPM Lead - 9 Chord Nirvana" which works fine and I suspect is the correct version of the above patch.

In Unify

When I try to find the first patch in the Unified version of Omniverse I, there is no BPM Synth patch.  I can only find a patch called "BPM Lead - 9 Chord Nirvana" (i.e. the same as the patch that works in Omnisphere). When I select this patch in Unify sometimes it is silent and sometimes it works fine. If it is silent and I open Omnisphere from Unify and select the "BPM Lead - 9 Chord Nirvana" then it plays fine.

I am on Unify v1.2.2 with Win 10 Pro (version 2004, build 19041.630) and the latest version of Omnisphere.

@hexabuzz What do you mean?

Thinking I might repost in the beta testers bug forum.

@zinct I mean I'm following the thread because I'm interested in a solution - there doesn't seem to be a way to subscribe to a thread unless you make a post, unless I'm missing something 🙂

I was poking around with this last night just thinking it was a missing sound source and I found a file SYNTH-C3-MaxWell Anthem Stringz.wav in the MegaMagic Dreams Samples folder, and thought it would work if it was just duplicated into the User directory, but couldn't get it to work.

@hexabuzz Ah I see OK thanks. That's an interesting find. I don't have MM Dreams but that does sound like the missing file albeit not part of Omniverse I.

@zinctIf you think you can make it work, I'd be more than happy to send you the .wav

Looking at Omniverse I, both in stand alone Omnisphere 2, and in Unify for that library, I do not find any patch called BPM Synth - Pulsing 9 Nirvana. Only BPM Lead - 9 Chord Nirvana" and it works both in stand alone, and in Unify.

Even if I search the entire Unify library, and the entire Omnisphere library, I find nothing by that name.

Are you sure it's not a patch you created and saved?

@mschiff It's there on my Omnisphere as well.

I must have had an old version of Omniverse I installed. I just reinstalled it, and now I see that patch in Omnisphere 2, but still not in the Unify list (I just reinstalled it too).

I get the same error message as @zinct in Omnisphere when I try to load the patch.

@mschiff The comments list it as a bonus patch, so it's certainly possible it was added later.

@mschiff I have only recently purchased Omnisphere and some of John's O2 libraries so my installs are all fresh and include the most recent updates.

@hexabuzz thanks for the offer but I don't want to start messing manually with my new Omnisphere installation.

@getdunne Shane are you able to replicate this (see first post)? Thanks

@zinct I have referred this to John. Patches are his department.

I am not exactly sure why or how this happened - it's a patch that should not be there. When I released OmniVerse 1 - Omnisphere was at version 1.xx and not able to load 3rd party samples. Even OmniVerse III: Aurora was before Omnisphere turned V2 and gained the ability to load samples. This is an error - I'll delete the patch and re-upload the master library.

Great detective work to find this! Thank you.

I have removed the offending patch, re-zipped and re-uploaded the modified version. Thank you for finding that error and I'm sorry not noticing this in the first place. You can re-download the library or any of the 5 bundles that include it and the fixed version of the library is there.

Thank you again, Jeremy for noticing this discrepancy!

For those of you who just want to delete the patch, instead of re-installing, there does not seem to be a way to do that inside Omnisphere.

If you go to Windows Explorer or the Finder (may be different location on the Mac) in your Steam folder:

\STEAM\Omnisphere\Settings Library\Patches\PlugInGuru Omniverse\ARP + Rhythm

You can find the patch and delete it.

@mschiff I found that out earlier when I went to delete it - It's pretty crazy that there isn't any sort of patch deletion functionality inside Omnisphere, isn't it?

@hexabuzz

Yes, it does seem to be a rather silly exclusion.
