I just bought PIGMENTS 2 from Arturia. it's a very good VST instrument but the multi mode is not included. this is where Unify is really great to use a synth of such a scale in multi mode or to associate it with other VST like Omnisphere or other and with an optimized CPU charge. The power of Pigments is increased tenfold through Unify.

Unify has become for me the essential complement of all synths and effects. Can't wait to listen to John's next Unify / Pigments library

Thanks @dominique

All owners get 200 new Pigments 3 presets. There's also the Spectrum sound pack which is free if you buy Pigments now or 19.99 if you already own Pigments.

I'll also be Unifying the new patches!

Just as an FYI I have now sent the new Unified 200 Pigments 3 factory patches to John so that he can add his changes to it.

I've also added this post in the Unified Libraries forum.

The Spectrum sound bank which is 500 patches seems to be made up from 5 banks in the Pigments store (100 each).

You can also download the first 8 patches of each of these in Pigments to try out before buying.

Looks pretty good value as an existing owner at 19.99 for all of them (or free if you buy Pigments now).

The link to buy them as an existing owner is in your account here https://www.arturia.com/sound-banks/spectrumsoundpack

See below..

Hello Jeremy !

As much as I am very enthusiastic with Pigments 3, I am less enthusiastic with Spectrum. I listened to a few "walkthroughs". there are a lot of sounds indeed but not very interesting compared to what can be done with Pigments.

So I will refrain from taking it.

I do think, however, that John could do some very nice things with this VST.

I hope he reads me 🙂

Is it just me, or does Pigments take much longer to load than other VSTs in Unify? Kontakt too, for that matter. Other VSTs tend to be playable almost instantly. All my audio libraries are on PCIe nVME, so it's not the file load. Maybe Pigments is just a bit "piggy" with its resource allocation.

@karlfranz

Pigments is a pig alright. Loading one instance takes Unify's RAM usage from 43 MB (INIT patch) to 772 MB.

@karlfranz - Something changed in Pigments 3, and also in Analog Lab V. I have noticed significant loading time increases on various DAWs and different versions of Windows on different computers. The same holds when changing presets. Preset surfing has pretty much become useless for me on the latest Arturia soft synth versions, for whatever technical reason that lead to this extreme increase in load time. Once the  VST and preset is loaded it musically plays fine though. I have let my contact at Arturia know about that and they made it sound like I was the only one experiencing it. So it definitely is not isolated to Unify.

@berndpdx - I have noticed the same thing since Analog Lab V came out. It’s definitely not “just you”. I’m running on a Mac Pro, so it’s not limited to Windows either.
