Hello

After upgrading to version 1.8, suddently all patches are listed two to four times in the Unify Patch browser (see screenshot)

Have anyone seen this before and know a solution to this?

I did check the actual files on the hardrive, there is only one file for each patch
Also did a full rebuild of the patch database with no luck

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Best regards
Morten

If a FULL rebuild didn't work, you may have more than one copy of some libraries.

Choose a set of duplicated patches. Right-click each patch and choose "reveal in Explorer/Finder", and see where they are. If you have multiple copies of the library, delete all but the most recent and rebuild the database again.

@getdunne I have only one copy of each library. As you can see on the attached picture, there is only one file on the harddrive of this patch, but it appears twice in the unify patchbrowser

Did you try what I suggested above: right-click the patches and choose "reveal in Finder" (or Explorer on Windows)? I suspect you might have an older copy of the patches in another location on your drive.

Please look in the Libraries folder inside Unify's main data folder, and locate the file Presets.db. This is your patch database. Zip it, and attach here. I will analyze it and tell you why you are seeing those duplicates. If you do this right away, I may be able to get you an answer tomorrow. After Tuesday, I'm going to be away from my office for a while, so today/tomorrow is best.

@getdunne Yes, I did exactly as you suggested. Here is the zipped Preset.db file
Thank you for your support

@mljakobsen

You definitely have duplicated rows in the database; I'm not sure why this would happen. A FULL rebuild, initiated by holding down ALT (Option) while clicking the lightning-bolt would be expected to fix this, so I'm not convinced you did this.

I'm attaching a (zipped) version of your database with all duplicate rows removed. Please try replacing your Presets.db with this one.

  • QUIT all instances of Unify
  • Overwrite your Presets.db file with the one from the attached zip file
  • Open Unify (preferably the stand-alone), and check to make sure there are no more duplicates, and you are not missing anything.
