Hi all,
I get "Sorry, this file could not be downloaded." when I'm trying to download the 4th part of the library.
Do we not need it anymore or is the link broken? Thanks!
Yes, I'm definitely having that problem. I'm trying to rebuild the 3 libraries to correct some problems and this is holding me up. Looks like it's needed because I installed the first 3 and none of the 3 libraries are showing up in unify2 after complete rebuild.
Ah, I see.
thanks for the reply. I'm sorry you are having issues but at the same time I'm glad I'm not the only one. Haha
I am able to play the presets without the 4th part (I installed the patch. Not sure if that's allowing it?) but I wasn't sure if the parts are simply adding more presets or it's doing more critical changes
Hi guys - I apologize - we did the update to 2.00.2 last night for Unify 2 and I've updated the patch libraries. The process of making that last Guru 4 of 4 file has been very challenging. It has to install multiple files in multiple places and the building/compressing has been one of trial and error to finally get right.
I finally have it right and so everything has now been linked up and is working. I'm terribly sorry for the hiccup. I am proficient with computers until the point where I am not and making / selling / supporting my own software has definitely challenged that point in my expertise.
If you log into the site, everything is linked and working as expected now and the Unify metronome jumps from around 270 patches to 600 patches - and more will come in future updates because I love to support the software we create.
Sorry again and I thank you for your understanding and patience.

I got it downloaded and everything looks good. I have 1,729 patches total of the 3 libraries. Thank you for fixing it.

Those are the magic numbers for November 22, 2025.
I'm sorry it wasn't working when it was supposed to in the first place!

- Thanks Shane, I had read the post from John re: part 4 of 4 but something else must be going on as I don’t see / have even 200 + plus MN patches leave alone 1700+ (I’m sure I could copy them to the library somehow: I will try reinstalling part 4 of four and see if that helps. If not perhaps will redo install from V 2.0
I’m sure this is a user error of some sort but backtracking seems to be the lot in life for us with aging memories.
I am curious wether re installing guru files causes duplicates in the patch list(s) or if they just over write?
Thanks again fir your reply I hope this finds everyone well as can be!

.guru files are just renamed .zip files, which are unpacked in the main Unify data folder. In most cases the top-level folder in the zip is "Libraries".
Provided the zip archive structure is correct, any files which are already present will simply get overwritten by the same-named files from the archive. (Any files which don't get overwritten will remain.)
Setting up these zip archives has to be done very carefully, and John has been known to make a mistake or two when working late at night. Bad mistakes may result in files (or even whole folders) getting created in the wrong places, and this has to be repaired manually.
See this manual page for the correct structure/hierarchy of the Unify data folder. Have a look at your Unify folder, and if anything seems to be in the wrong place, try moving it out from under the Unify data folder entirely. If you have doubts about any library, remove the whole library folder and re-install it using the .guru file for the library; that will rebuild it from scratch so it should be clean.
Everything working on my end as well! Are Unify Standard, Metronome, SuperMega Sampler?
@craigr I have 1732 patches! I win. Hahah jk jk
Thank you team! No need to apologize. It happens 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I am supposed to see the download file when I log into my account, can't find it anywhere?
@omard This is in reference to Unify 2. It is a paid upgrade at our website. I have checked your account there and you only own Unify 1 so this post does not apply to you. I hope this clarifies. Kindly,

@getdunne Shane, I am currently running Unify 2 version 2.00.1 and I want to update to version 2.00.2 and get the Updated Metronome Patches but I am confused (which is very easy nowadays with this old head of mine) when I Login to my account what I should be Downloading now to get the New Version and the New Patches?
If you are updating a previous installation, where you installed the app, and the 4 main content .guru files, all you need to to is re-run the latest installer, and download the patch updater .guru file and drop it into the UI. This will overwrite prior versions and add new content.
See attached image.
@wavesequencer Paul, thank you very much for your explicit instructions which worked like a charm.
@ivorybob The files are in your My account area and are labeled. You will need to download the 2.00.2 installer and the the patch updater #2.guru file
