HI Is there a known problem with Apple big Sir and Discover Station If I load a Discover Station patch into unify I do not get any sound. All other patches that I tested worked fine
There is no known issue that I'm aware of. Have you installed BBC Discover from Spitfire Audio?
HI Shane
Yes
I am running Big Sir on an external drive to test . I am still running OS Catalina on my main drive and Discover works fine on that one.
Can you test just the BBC Discover plug-in in your DAW, i.e., not inside Unify?
If you're booting from your external Big Sur drive, BBC Discover won't know where to find its sounds. That information is stored in some kind of preferences file, usually under your user folder; the new Big Sur install has its own user folder. You may have to install BBC Discover again to set it up, or at least, adjust the entries in its Settings view.
This would be the case for most plug-ins that use samples, not just BBC Discover.
@getdunne Hi Shane
HI Shane,
Same problem in Daw
I transferred everything over with a time machine back up so it is possible that's its looking in the wrong place. I would like to adjust the settings first Where would I find that ?
Thanks
Jim
Hi Shane
All sorted
I just had to run repair with the Spitfire App
Thank you for your help
J
I can't provide expert guidance on Spitfire Audio plug-ins. I just checked BBC Symphony Orchestra here, and although there is a "gear" icon in the top-right corner to open its settings, there doesn't appear to be any settings for sample paths. I'm pretty sure these are set up by running the Spitfire Audio app--same one that you use to download all their content.
For any more detail, I suggest you contact Spitfire Audio.
