I need more information. Does this problem occur with Unify as a plug-in in a DAW, or the stand-alone Unify app? Please test using the stand-alone app first. Also, I don't understand what you mean by "sometimes, it shows no patch on the right part of the screen.. no list." Please post a screenshot.

@getdunne

thank you for your fast answer and apology for my late come back 🙂

i can't access to the browser from the Daw (cubase 10, windows 8) but you are right, it's as you said,  i can access to the browser with the stand alone application.

i've attached 2 different screen copies to show you.

thanx a lot

Cubase is a very problematic DAW. It remembers the window-dimensions of every plug-in, and forcibly resizes the plug-in to those dimensions when it is reloaded/opened. This causes lots of problems for Unify, because it was not designed to be resized by the DAW.

What happens when you click the "browse" button Unify in Cubase?

actually nothing happens. it stays exactly as you can see on the screen shot... i can browse sound by sound but can't see anything like a list..

the thing is : when i first installed Unify, it was working fine. i have a feeling but i'm not sure, that it's when i updated unify that problems started but i can't be sure of this. what i know is that i havent upgraded cubase since then

This is very strange indeed! I wonder if Unify is hitting a maximum width and is unable to expand to show the browser.

Could you please try one more experiment for me? Try manually resizing the Unify window to a narrower width, then close the GUI, quit and re-start Cubase, then re-open Unify and see if you can open the browser.

quite strange, i dont know what happened but i opened a new cubase session to try what you said and .. the browser was here again

i really dont understand at all..

i went back to my cubase session where the problem appeared and the browser is ok, i can see everything.. well problem unsolved..

if this happen again i will follow your instruction and will come back to you.. but for the moment, this is a mystery. does it happen to anybody else ?

thanks a lot for your help and concern

I'm glad to know this is fixed (at least for now), but I'm sorry this happened at all.

As I said, Cubase is a very difficult DAW.

I have the same problems. If i save a cubase project, i have lost all control of Unify when I open the project again. It is quite frustrating not to be able too edit Unify. I am a little disappointed because I bought it to have fun with it in my cubase template. It is the third time I draw attention to this problem, so I hope you will come up with a useful solution soon.

I am forced to make my patches in the standalone, save it and then open it again in cubase. The interface is not stabilized as a vst in cubase.

I'm sorry you're having so much trouble.

The current work-around for Cubase is to close the browser before closing the Unify window. It's not ideal, but it does work.

I just tried to open a new unify instrument in my template. It still doesn’t work. I have access to pages but can’t control anything there.

It works if I start a new project in an empty cubase project, but not when it is on my template.

yes good that you mentioned this : my problem who originated this thread was the same : when starting from a fresh session, usually no pb. its when the session has been made for some time that problems start to appear. its very disappointing because Unify is very very useful.. cubase is problematic.. i will try in Ableton.
