When stopping Unify`s clock, while some vst is playing (in my case Microtoniq vst), STOP produces click at the end.
Many plug-ins cut off all sound when they see the host Transport (playhead) stop. Serum actually has a user setting to turn this on or off, and we found it needed to be turned off for the AIRWAVE Melodic Techno libraries. Microtonic may be similar; look to see if it has a similar setting.
The only other option is to set Unify's Transport to a mode where it doesn't stop automatically. The MIDI / Reset mode may be useful.
I'm not sure this is the same thing, but anytime I use Syntronik in Unify in my DAW and let up on a note, it immediately cuts off with an audible click. I discovered this early on with Unify, so I emailed John back then. He said it sounded like clock related and suggested I try "ManualStart/Stop" or "MIDI/Manual Stop". ManualStart/Stop fixes it but I have to do this every time I create a new Syntronik layer. Saving the preset retains the setting so it's not much of a problem. I see transport options of start/stop, quick stop, restart, manual stop, not MIDI/Reset. I'm assuming you meant MIDI/Restart. It might be nice to have a setting to not have it default to quick stop.
In Microtoniq there is an option to cut sounds with note offs. It is set.
This click actually sounds like audio buffer cut in the middle, which produces click...
I understood, Unify does not provide tail after stop. So even Reverb tail breaks if i use stop button to stop arrangement playing. But on stop buffer cuts completely without any fade, and reverb tails or sustains become cut. So in performance situation it is impossible to use stop as global midi stop, to have tail as in a daw. This hard buffer break happens also on All note off midi message.
Microtonic is unique and might be something we need to look closely at. It is not respecting even our Latch mode which is odd and it should...
