Hey guys, I just purchased the Genesis Pro by Ummet Ozcan for the mighty price of 1 euro! I recall the free version from many years ago, some beefy sounds so I thought I'd get it, can't even buy a coffee for 1 euro!

The issue is that it's a 32bit plugin, so natively, Cubase Pro 10/10.5 don't support it. That's ok, this is where Unify comes in.

I am not sure if it's just me, first time I experienced this with a plugin, but it crackles and stutters a lot. CPU meters in Cubase and Task Manager (using Windows 10) are low, so it's not the CPU.

Playing around, I realised that if I play another instrument in Cubase, then change back to Unify with Genesis Pro loaded (only synth on it), the problem goes away!

Anyone else able to replicate this issue? It's not a show stopper, just not sure if it's the Genesis Pro at fault, or something in Unify? Genesis pro is Windows only plugin, so John, you'll have to begin using Windows now on to support most of your customers no doubt.   😜

VERY interesting result, thanks for letting us know. I got Genesis Pro this morning and have been working with it. The GP discussion thread on KVR is full of people reporting crackles and CPU spiking which I have also seen, but this observation is a new one on me.

thanks, have to say, I mainly use Spire, but Spire and other plugins seem to load quicker in Unify (plugin) than on Cubase itself!

As for Genesis issue on the KVR forum, I didn't really check until now, and yes, it seems lots are having issues. For 1 euro, you guys could probably do a mass purchase for 50 cents and include it as one of your included instruments, once it's optimised a bit more 🤔
