In total commander can click on unify install and see the contents. double click on unfy setup work to install the vst ok. but drag the unify factory content.guru file(in the folder that the zip content show) do not work. unify give a success message "new content installed sucessfully" but this is not true. i notice that it not work because i read that unify have now over 500 presets on unify page. but try batch operation for unify standard library show only 439 files. so i unpack the 1.3 .guru before i do the drag and drop. this take longer time  and i then get 544 patches in unify standard library

this is important to know, always unpack the .guru file before to a drive and drag and drop from there. only then it is correct install.

It should not be necessary to unpack the .guru file manually. You might have outdated files. Please explain in detail which files you have, and where you got them from. If something is out of date, I need to know, so I can fix it.

@getdunne I have 1.3.2 . The install of VST work ok. see screenshot. the files i get from my account. i drag and drop the unify factory content to unify. there come immidiate new content installed sucessfully but no database update message

when i unpack manual then see progress requester for 30 sec or more ansd update database.  maybe it is a total commander bug only. i open the zip with winrar and drag and drop and it work. my total commander is 9.12 and there are newer versions. i try if it maybe work then

EDIT: I test newest total commander and use standalone unify. it do not work. seem a problem with total commander

@getdunne It's possible the OP is trying to drag/drop the .guru file directly from within the Zip file.  When talking about unpacking, @user476565 may be referring to unpacking/unzipping the downloaded Zip, not the .guru file itself.

I think this is somewhat normal.  I have other apps/VSTs that won't let me install additional content without first unzipping the Zip file.

Ableton Live 10, Omnisphere, Native Instruments (Pianos), Spire, Hammer + Waves, Heavyocity (Ascend and Mosaic Keys), Diva, SynthMaster, Alchemy 1.55, Addictive Keys, Unify

You must unpack the ZIP file you downloaded, using whatever tool you use to unpack ZIP files. Then run the installer EXE. Then run the Unify stand-alone, and drag/drop the file Unify Factory Content.guru into the Unify GUI.

I just did this on a fresh Windows install, and I see 537 patches in the Unify Standard Library, and one patch in the User Library. This is exactly what the Unify Factory Content.guru file contains. If I immediately click the ops-button at the top of the patch browser and choose "Update multiple patches", it reports 538 patches total. See attached screenshots.

If you are seeing different results, please take the SAME screenshots on your machine (one showing the Windows Explorer view of the Unify Factory Content/Patches folder, including the number of items, and another showing what appears when you use the "Update multiple patches" menu item) so I can compare.

unzip of the installer file is not need. there seem a bug in total commander and unify think all is do correct. when i drag and drop from winrar it work.

see screenshot how winrar look there can drag the .guru file inside the zip and drop it on unify.many often install programs with single file this way(I too, but in total commander). either it work or there come an error. and because unify report no error i thought it can work too.so i want information that it is important to unpack the .guru file better before

I do not recommend dragging files directly from a compressed archive into any program. The archive app must uncompress the file to a temporary location, and might delete it before Unify is finished using it.
