A user reported the following issue via email, but I'm bringing it to the Forum so others can see and contribute:
Today I found out, that sampling / rendering Unify with Directwave in FL Studio is not possible. The result is, that the rendered wav files are cropped directly at the beginning.
I am not familiar with DirectWave, but from the FL Studio web site I see it provides an ability to resample plug-ins.
Before going further I should note that resampling sample-based sounds for your own use is OK, but redistributing Unify's samples (even with modification) is a violation of copyright. Please be aware of this.
I'm not sure what "cropped directly at the beginning" means. Can you explain in more detail?
One thing you might try is setting Unify's Transport to "follow host" and "manual start/stop". What sounds like cropping may be a result of Unify's transport starting and stopping.
It's indeed a (btw, very nifty) device for resampling purposes. At least how it is integrated into FL Studio which is nothing less than genius. But you might rather like to hear that it works perfectly with Unify. Just tested it.
The user probably got lost by the various settings (s. enclosed image) or faces other problems due to obscure plugins inside Unify or whatever ...

Hi Shane,
thanks, but I still have the same issue after setting it to "follow host" and "manual start/stop".
"cropped directly at the beginning" means: When I resample a synth for 3 seconds for example, the wav file keeps empty after recording, except for a small click sound at the beginning. The waveform is cropped after some milliseconds. Here is a picture how it looks like in Wavelab. Instead of a 3 seconds waveform, you can only see a small click at the start.
Hi! I didn't get lost by the settings in Directwave, since I use this for years. Any other synths are working fine with Directwave. First after loading them in Unify causes this issue. Last year there was the same problem with Spire, after they updated their synth at that time. I talked to Reveal Sound and they fixed it some days later.
No problem, Shane. I can imagine, that it's difficult to find out and I also get it managed on other ways. When I find out something new, I will contact you. Nevertheless, thanks for helping out and for your effort.
