@getdunne Hey I've been unifying John's Massive Power pak and there were some Lady GaGa style patches there, so I used them both to do a BPM Split similar to Poker face. Two layers, two different Massive patches, each with it's own Midibox, each using the same Midi file. When I play the two parts the Sync goes away, the second of the two starts to drift tempo wise like they're using a micro BPM difference. I have the one part setup on G#1, and the second on A#1.  I also tried creating a Midi layer to control both of them but then it will only play layer 1 and won't play the midi file correctly. It only plays the actual note I'm hitting. Even if I hit layer 2's note. Do I have to have a separate Midibox controlling each layer? I tried it that way too but only plays the 1st layer again. I also created a second midi file so they wouldn't be using the same file (thought that might be the issue) but it still did it. Wonder if it's a massive issue, with NI Massive, not that it's a massive issue. jk I'm confused. This is on the PC and Mac version.

Please zip and post your patch(es) here, preferably including the MIDI file(s) you're using.

@getdunne Here's the midi file. Is supposed to allow more than one attachment?

@getdunne The patch has an instance of Omnisphere in it but have it muted.

Well I tried to attach the unify patch file but it says it wasn't allowed. So here's the Google drive link.

Your basic problem was that you had Unify's Transport set to "manual start/stop". MIDIBox follows the Transport, so if it's not running, MIDIBox doesn't play. I changed it to "MIDI / Quick Stop".

In the attached .zip file I show this change, plus how to use one MIDIBox on a MIDI layer to control both Massive layers at once, and also how to put your MIDI files into a Unify library you're creating. The second patch has a little surprise too.

@getdunne When I play the fixed version they're still going out of sync. The main reason I have it setup like that is in the original song the 1st layer starts, then 2nd layer comes in a 2 bars later. Does it not go out of sync for you? I like that Are friends electric patch. Ok I figured I'd try something else. So I created two layers with Guru sampler, and they sync perfectly so it must be Massive. It plays perfectly in the Omnisphere Multi too. Just thought I'd try using John's more authentic Poker face patches instead. Oh well. Guess I'd do more testing with other Massive patches and let John know what I was finding when I send the library to him.

I'm going to look into this carefully tomorrow. I swapped in Guru Sampler for the two Massive instances and they still go out of sync. I think there's either a subtle problem with your MIDI file, or a bug in Unify.

@getdunne Also noticed some glitch that would happen with the bell sounds on their attacks when I hit some notes after loading the patch, but doesn't do it all the time and eventually goes away, might want to see if it does it on your end. I've noticed it on both the PC and Mac.

Here's the google drive link for the library.

I hunted and hunted, and your sync problem turned out to be very simple: You had the first MIDIBox's Speed knob set to 102%.

Glitches when playing notes right after loading a multi-layer patch can happen when not all layers are quite ready to play. The effect is more noticeable with some plug-ins than others. Unfortunately, as a plug-in host, Unify has no way of knowing if a given plug-in is actually ready to start playing a new patch.
