In the course of trying to create Unified patches for IK's Syntronik 2, I've discovered a nasty and 100% reproducible bug. If I load Syntronik 2 into Unify and then without doing anything else, I simply click the close button on the Syntronik 2 window, Unify simply closes (crashes) with no warning or errors. I've confirmed that it happens on Windows 11 with Syntronik VST2 and Syntronik VST3 using either the Unify plugin or standalone versions. What's weird is that I can actually change patches via Unify even with the Syntronik 2 window open and Unify doesn't crash. It's only when I click the close button on the Syntronik 2 window.

I'm hoping that someone here can confirm it for me.

@e-blue

I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit and just tested the free version of Syntronik 2 (v2.0.1) in Unify standalone.

I am not getting any crashes when I close the Syntronik 2 window or at all.

Maybe try the following...

- Check that you are running the latest version of Syntronik 2

- Do a full rebuild of Syntronik's database

- Do a full plugin rescan in Unify (VST 2 and VST 3).

Thanks for the suggestions. I've tried them all with no change. I'm fairly sure that the free version (Syntronik CS) is a somewhat different program from the full version. As a full version owner, I am not given the option to install the free version, so I can't confirm this. I've check other IK Multimedia programs that I own and none of them exhibit the same crashing behavior.
