Hi all. No Polybox showing in library after new update and rebuild patch database. The only three BPM Synths are

BPM Sythn-Airstab Chord Sequence, BPM Sythn-I Can Tekno and BPM Sythn-Mega Arp Insanity.

Am I missing something.

Thanks in advance. Rob

Did you install the Unify Content 1.0.12 Update.guru file? That contains the updated patches.

Download the file and either drag/drop into the Unify GUI, or go to Settings and click the green "Select .guru file..." button.

After you install the updated content and rebuild the patch database, you should be able to select "1.0.12" from the Tags (see attached screenshot) to isolate the 10 new patches (8 of which use PolyBox).

@getdunne I would recommend to John or whoever creates the install document for Unify to put some information for the people updating from an older version. The document is fine for new users, but it always makes me think out my steps when I update.

In this case, I knew to download the content update file and drop it in, but forgot to rebuild the database. I noticed the new patches were missing and knew then that I had to rebuild the database. It only took me a few minutes figure it out and therefore did not have to put a question up here, but others might be mystified without a reminder in the docs.

Putting this here, since it's the active thread for this feature at release.

Question:

I had a dialog saying something about the authorization, but have not had to enter it anywhere.  Should I have?

Comments.

Chrome also doesn't think I should download it.  Did though.

The implementation doesn't take this into consideration (restricted to the mono to poly thinking i guess)

I put a multi-timbral vst into my instrument layer and turn on Polybox.  Though Pbox says it is cycling channels (no sound when single instance, or numbers in the midi channel position if several instances), it doesn't play the multi channels of that single layer, or sequential channels of the multiple instances.  Rather it always plays channel one of whatever instrument is in sequential  layers - or none if I set the midi channel conversion to no change .

Another

Is it meant to play the layers sequentially?  The triggers appear random?  Does this imply there is no way to say start at 1?

Sorry for multiple edits, but on-the-fly test.

Authorization: if you have ever authorized Unify, it should remain authorized. If not, you would probably not be able to load any presets from the Standard Library.

Chrome: Browsers, operating systems, and antivirus utilities all cry wolf constantly. We do our best to make downloading and installing a seamless experience, but at a certain point it's up to the individual user to wrangle their system.

PolyBox: PolyBox isn't designed to work with multi-timbral instruments. This is the purpose of the "MIDI output channel" setting. See https://pluginguru.net/unify/manual/doku.php?id=polybox for all the details.
