I'm having some sample library issues and I'm absolutely lost as to what the problem is. I created a bunch of Unify 1 sounds a while back based on samples converted from EXS libraries. Everything was working fine. When I updated to Unify 2 a number of patches stopped working. I get a Sample Load Error, and a box that reads No Such File: (sample location). the thing that's really confusing to me is that it's only doing this with some samples. Some are working fine, and they're all in the same location. I've tried moving, rebuilding - but I'm always getting the same errors with these same files. I'm to the point where I'm ready to delete these files and start the project over again converting the original EXS files, but that's a pretty big job and I would love to avoid that if possible. Any ideas?
No need to start again from your EXS files. You just need to track down where your converted sound files are, and check for issues like file name differences (including capitalization of letters). Is there any difference in file types between the ones that load and the ones that don't, e.g., .wav files load, but .ogg or .mp3 etc. don't?
Start with any sample that's causing a load error, and look carefully at the path indicated in the "no such file" popup. With the popup still open, try to locate the file manually in Finder (Mac) or Explorer (Windows), based on the path. If it's not there, that's your problem. If it is there, check to see if there's some small difference in the file name, or the names of any of the higher path elements (folder names).
Has there been any OS update since the last time these patches worked for you? Recent versions of MacOS (for example) are more strict about file names.
Yeah, it's appearing that the sample path is all messed up. The error message is showing so many sub folders that it won't even display them all, and ends up in an entirely different folder than where the samples actually are. Is there any way to reset the sample path in Guru sampler?

Yes. Just close the popups, then use the three popup menus in the middle of the Guru Sampler GUI to re-select your SFZ file.
