Parts of bonus patches not working - probably me :)

I have just downloaded the demo of Ambient Dreams and have some bonus patches from John (thank you:).

Started playing with the 5 bonus patches (zzBPM PAD for example) and it has 5 instances and although they are all set to the same midi channel and key range, i cannot figure out why the first two instances don't work

The input lights work when i press the keyboard and the volumes are all up

All 5 don't fully work and i have read the top instructions, but it has to be me, i reckon

I have opened some instances up

The patches in the ambient dreams demo seem to work fine

If someone could point out where i am going wrong, that would be great, thanks

I certainly cannot complain as they are free, but understanding what i am doing wrong will help me understand a bit better (hopefully!)
