Patches from Livestreams

I download the demo patches that John makes during livestreams, copy them into my user library patches folder in the Unify directory, and then they are lost for ever more.  I can never find which library they are supposed to show up in.  Currently I am searching for BPM Split Happy Feet, Pluck - Campana w MIDI, and Jam UniChill+Cloud City LS 08 21.  I understand that the library location of the preset is independent of where it is placed on the PC, but this makes it very hard to find, especially with so many libraries.  I wish there was a way to see from the preset file which library it is going to show up in.  I am pretty sure this week John said he would save in User library, but I can find no trace of it, after a rescan of all folders.

Hey Robert,

Thanks for checking out the live streams. You may need to do a patch database refresh by clicking the little lightening bolt in the top right hand corner of Unify standalone screen. When you add patches manually to a library, in your case "User" you will need to refresh the database for them to appear in the browser.

Kindly,

Taylor Harris

Thanks Taylor, but I have already done that, as I said in the post ("rescan of the library").

@robertpeveler

If you open a .unify file in a text editor, it will look like a bit of a mess, but you can search for "library=" and find the library name.

At some point I need to add a clean GUI interface to export patches from Unify and import them, but that will be more work than you might expect, so until I do, this is what we're stuck with.

If you prefer, you can post one or more patches here (zip them first), and I'll tell you where to look for them in Unify.

Thanks - just realised the solution was staring me in the face - all it took was to browse in "All libraries", find the patch, and then open the save dialogue box to see which library the patch was in. (D'oh!) I also realised I had to do an "Alt-click" on the refresh button to get these to show up.  All sorted now thanks.
