@getdunne Shane,
I'm trying to figure out the Swap: Instruments. I just installed Opzilla, and I can see it in the Swap > All Instruments at the bottom of the list, but it's NOT In the Swap > All instruments at the top of the list.
When I started to research this more in the online manual, you talk about the Plug-ins Subsets view, and clicking the Heart icon to get there, but now there's no Heart Icon.
What am I missing about why it's in one "All Instruments" menu and not the other, and now how do I access the Plug-ins Subsets view?
Sorry, I realize this is very confusing.
The "Swap: All Instruments" sub-menu at the bottom (just above "Operations") is the actual "all instruments" menu. It's generated by code, according to the Known Plug-ins list. All the others are actually plugin subset presets (see https://pluginguru.net/unify/manual/doku.php?id=plugin-subsets), which are files in the Presets/Plugin Subsets/Instruments folder under the main Unify data folder. The standard Unify factory content installs these four, which are actually some that John made based on his own very large plug-in collection. You can delete them if you want.
Plug-in subset files can actually reference plug-ins that you don't have. Unify only shows the ones that you actually do have. Because John has such a large collection, his idea was that most third-party plug-ins that users have will probably already be in these subset files. I'm not entirely sure it's a great idea. The idea was just to give you a starting point to create your own subsets.
The idea was this - In the MIDDLE are custom Subsets and instead of leaving it blank, I used my 700 plug-ins as a starting point. You can go into the Subsets menu, and delete or modify them all you want. The difference being the middle "ALL LIBRARIES" subset will display plugins in an alphabetical list - no folders - so you can scroll down and pick out the plug-in far easier than trying to remember the abstract company name where a plug-in is located in the "SWAP: All Libraries" primary list at the bottom of the menu.
It was simply a starting point to show what is possible. Feel free to modify these to show YOUR plug-ins which I'm quite sure are not showing in the ALL LIBRARIES subset.
Maybe we can use a different name since seeing 2 but they don't display the same is confusing.

@pluginguruforums @getdunne Thanks guys, that helps a lot!
But... Since there's no more "heart", I'm assuming there's no quick shortcut to the Plugins Subset menu? I'm going to have to do this at a system level through the Finder?
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Since there's no more "heart"...
What, what, what? What do you mean "no more heart"? Are favorites no longer working for you?
You can delete preset files in the Finder if you want, but you can also delete them, and create new ones, edit them, etc. in our Subsets View. Please refer to the manual page I linked in my earlier answer.
Oops! That's an icon we used very early on. I've updated that image and text in the manual. Thanks for spotting that!
@getdunne Much better now... Thanks, Shane, now I don't feel like I'm losing my mind.
The "list" icon (see attached image) has REPLACED the heart icon. Click on it to get to the Plug-In Subsets view.
We use the "heart" icon now only in the patch browser.
