Greetings and Congratulations on V1.1! Having issues loading the presets for the midi effect layers. Im getting an error message Layer XML Invalid. Loading an empty midi effect layer and then adding the effect works fine.

Which layer preset are you trying to add?

Thanks the 1.1.3 update solved it. Thought I had another issue but it seems that there is a maximum of 24 midi effect layers that can be assigned when creating or working on a patch is that correct?

@quasar

There is a limit on the number of layers, of all kinds, but you can change this. See the Unify Manual https://pluginguru.net/unify/manual/doku.php?id=threadpoolsize&s []=24

Just curious: can you give an example of when you would need more than 24 MIDI layers? (This is a serious question. MIDI layers could potentially be handled differently in Unify, if you really needed to use a ton of them.)

@getdunne Thanks for the reply and no worries. I have 16 track MIDI songs that i wanted to load and experiment with inside Unify using a midi box for each track. I opened the 16 track template in the library but didn't realize at first that there's already an option for a midi effect right inside the instrument layer. So i began loading midi boxes from the layer menu instead, once i hit 8 boom the error message i exceeded the layer limit of 24. Thought i had a issue at first but discovered that 24 is the limit of layers to work with in each instance of Unify.  I could see doing a orchestral type midi arrangement needing more than 24 midi tracks or midi arrangements with individual tracks for multiple percussion, instruments and layering them. I think 24 tracks does cover a lot of ground but i don't want to limit Unify.

 The cool workaround is the Unify inside of Unify ability. The light turned on of what maybe possible with that feature.

Appropos of nothing, when I saw the 64 core Ryzen Threadripper CPU, my first thought was "Oohhhhh, that will go nicely with Unify. Sorry kids, no inheritance for you...."

Exploration! All about the journey right? 😀 Limits can lead to breakthroughs. That Ryzen sounds like a beast.
