Showing all knobs/macros at the same time?

Is it perhaps somehow possible to have Unify show more than 8 knobs/macros at a time? I am remote controlling them all with some MIDI controller(s), and it would be handy to see/read which parameters my hardware knobs etc. are controlling.

My screen is certainly large enough to show all the knobs, and personally to allow  for a more smooth workflow during a performance I would find seeing all the knobs even more important than to see all layers at the same time.

Thanks a lot!

Perhaps in a future version of Unify, we may allow multiple rows of knobs to be shown at once.

For now, however, you can adjust the numMacroKnobsPerPage and numMacroKnobPages entries in the Unify.settings file. (See this manual page for where to locate it on your system. Open with any plain-text editor, and change only the values in quotation marks. Making a safe backup copy before editing is highly recommended.)

Unify 1.x can only show one row or "page" of macro-knobs, but if you change the value of numMacroKnobsPerPage from the default of 8 to something higher, you will at least be able to see a few more. We recommend keeping the product of numMacroKnobsPerPage times numMacroKnobPages to around 64.

Brilliant, that is a neat trick to not only show more knobs at the time, but also to have more macros. I like it.

It works nicely for me to now show 16 knobs at a time. For orienting myself in such a long line of knob descriptions it is helpful that the operations menu button underneath is nicely in the middle.

Thanks a lot for sharing that!

> to have more macros

I have some Faderfox EC4 sitting next to me, so I can easily have hardware knobs for a huge number of macros. 😉
