Is there a way to move thru the layers in a tempo-synched fashion? In the way you would with a wavetable synth using an LFO and not retriggering the notes.

@tyler

At the moment, there is not, but thank you for asking this question in such a nicely focused way. I've put this on the to-do list and will be discussing this and other wave-sequencing related ideas with John.

Thanks Shane. From my naive perspective, it seems like this could potentially be done on the audio output side of things if those channels were available. In other words cycle thru the output of each layer either in order using a curve for the volume plus crossfade options. By default it could go in order of the layers but allow for some pattern using a "step" editor.

Options might be things like:

  • Tempo sync or free (how long does it stay on each layer)
  • Curve editor (volume automation)
  • Crossfade options (length of overlap across layers)
  • Step sequence (ability to cycle in a different order including repeating layers 3-1-1-2-3-4-4-3)
