@getdunne

Hey was trying to paste the plugin state from a Unify in Reason to the appropriate plugin in Standalone Unify and it crashed and gave me the attached crash code.

Thanks for the crash report. This indicates that the crash occurred inside the Omnisphere 2 plug-in.

Are you using the same format plug-in in both Unify instances (i.e., not VST2 in one and e.g. AU in another), and also same version number? If so, this might be something to report to Spectrasonics. I don't know if you'll get anywhere, but I'd at least like them to know about it.

One question they will almost certainly ask: Is this repeatable? Does it happen every single time, or just sometimes?

@getdunne Yeah, I figured out later there were different version numbers, but got busy with other stuff. Has anyone ever complained about issues with Aftertouch?  I use a Arturia keylab 49 MkII and when playing patches in Unify Standalone PC if I press aftertouch at all, it's like the patch collapses into quiet bandpass area and won't open back up without re selecting the patch.  If I press much harder it will but then I'm using the patch in a dynamically reduced way. In the attached video I was describing but I recently got another Audio interface and haven't been able to figure out the Loopback feature yet.  But I'm selecting patch, playing patch, pressing after touch, the patch shuts down, then only plays that way til patch is selected again.

Thanks

@getdunne I know you don't like when I put multiple different topics under one of my posts, I'm sorry, but I've been working overtime since October and I'm finally getting around to playing with Unify again, but I found this in the Unify Manual, will Batch processing be fixed at some point?

https://pluginguru.net/unify/manual/doku.php?id=batch-proc&s []=lightning&s[]=bolt, I figured it wouldn't be so some of this info might be outdated.

I tried to reproduce your result, but saw no response whatsoever to aftertouch. I suspect you have set up one or more of Unify's macro knobs to respond to channel aftertouch, and it's one of these that's causing the issue.

That page is obsolete; I'll remove it. Thank you for reporting.

I'm not aware of any pressing need to restore the batch processing function. It was put there to deal with a specific problem in Kontakt versions up to 6.4, but then version 6.5 made the entire approach non-workable, so I removed it.

@getdunne Yep, I was just messing with a song I've been working on and finally figured that it was what I needed to do was intialize the Macro Knob, stopped the problem! Thanks

@getdunne So weird that It crashed again. Hasn't crashed in a while then 2x in a few days. On my Mac there was a button showing up I hadn't seen before but what the crash code was saying about permissions was interesting. I had clicked on the button Bluetooth MIDI, when it crashed.

This certainly is an interesting crash, but I don't have enough information to begin to guess the cause. The crash report indicates that one of Unify's worker threads crashed, which suggests to me that some plug-in you had loaded was at the root of it.

TCC stands for "transparency, consent, and control". It's a MacOS feature that pops up those annoying "Program [blah-blah-blah] would like to access files [in some location]" prompts. See https://www.rainforestqa.com/blog/macos-tcc-db-deep-dive.
