Hello,

I updated to 1.1.7 today and in doing so Unify Vst is now too big to use on my pc.

The Unify Vst now opens at such a wide screen size that the entire bottom panel and all the options that are down there are not able to be viewed on my pc. Thus I am unable to access the controls to resize, authorize a library, adjust macro knobs, or any other bottom panel feature.

The highest resolution my monitor size goes is 1366 x 768.

It worked and opened perfectly in every version prior and I have been using since launch date.

For context, the stand alone version was not impacted and it does open just fine.

However, I would never use the stand alone version and it is the vst version in my daw that used to work and now does not work.

If the default opening screen size for the vst could be reverted to what was prior to this update that would be a huge and welcome fix as in its current state I am very limited in what can be done with Unify.

I have the exact same issue with the Sine Player by Orchestral Tools and I have seen others online say the same for Sine so it is possible that other users with a 1366 x 768 monitor may have this issue with Unify.

Thanks so much for any help or support!

Which DAW are you using? This seems to be specific to Cubase, but I'm not certain yet.

This is a real problem, but I wasn't aware of it since I rarely test with Cubase -- silly me! I will look into a permanent fix, but for now, a work-around is to close the Unify sidebar by clicking the "browse" button, before you close the Unify window.

Thanks for the quick reply!

FL Studio is what I'm using. Windows 8.1.

Regretfully, that does not appear to work. The sidebar being open or not does not alter the bottom row and it is not viewable or accessible at all.

@oatsunified2020 Can you not drag the window up by its title bar, to expose the bottom row?

A screenshot would help me see what you're seeing. Please post one here if you can.

@getdunne

I am unable to drag the window any higher to access the bottom panel.

I will attach a screenshot. Thanks!

It looks like FL Studio has set the window size too small, so Unify can't fit into it. This seems to be a known issue in FL Studio, possibly related to scaling; see e.g. https://www.reddit.com/r/FL_Studio/comments/7rn04s/is_there_a_way_to_resize_plugins_some_of_the/ .

Do you have Unify's GUI scaling set larger than 100%? If so, try changing it back to 100%. Use the stand-alone version (which won't be subject to FL Studio's bizarre window sizing) to change it.

One more thing to try: Unify remembers its last window dimensions. Try opening the stand-alone, resize the window to fit your screen, and then quit. Then try again in FL Studio.

@getdunne

Tried a few things.

Unify stand alone is at 80%. Adjusting the size of stand alone has no impact on the vst version. I went from 80,50,100, and opening the vst version always is way too big.

I saw in the reddit thread that using "Alt+Enter" would make Fl full screen. Doing so gives me access to the bottom row. Hooray!

So it can work, but the vst will not save or recall the settings.

If I open a new Fl studio project, add Unify, full screen and resize, save the project, and then close and reopen that project or new Unify vst instance I have to full screen and resize every time.

Now having access to Unify vst Gui options, if I change the Gui to be even 50% in vst and close and reopen it will still be way too big and I have to use the full screen method workaround every time I open it.

So it can work! But it is a minor inconvenience. If there is a more permanent solution that would be ideal.

Thank you so much for all your help thus far!

Thanks for the update. I'm glad you got this working, but sorry it was so difficult.

I'll do some testing in FL Studio and see what I can learn. Every DAW has its quirks, and I'm learning that major commercial plug-ins are shot through with little hacks to work around them all.
