Unify 1.4 no reaction

This can happen when Unify is trying to connect to an audio device which is no longer connected, or whose name has changed, etc.

Please locate the file ~/Library/Application Support/PlugInGuru/Unify.settings (note that is in YOUR Library folder, under your user folder, NOT the system Library folder at the root of the main hard drive), zip it and attach here. I will try to fix it and send back.

@getdunne Just wait. Some Sort of self repair.

Unify after 2 hours and new Installation wake up. I am playing a lot with Demo devices. For a better Livestream. Unify does not see any Midi device. 

I Change often the device even with virtual devices

Does nowhere exists. Complete folder and File not.

Unify did freeze the Mac. No other solution than to take complete of the Mac from Electrocity. After restart this happens.

My Mac and folder names are in German only

I have MACOS what is root. There Libary There Applications Support No folder for PlugInGutu there.

No active Midi Inputs.

@getdunne i did delete again. Install v 1.4 and Same No reactions. I can Not Upload a folder that Not exists. And this folder is Not installed with the füll Version... Maybe an handycap that 3/3 Installations are done in my Account? But i have Just one.

The "~" at the beginning is short for /Users/<your user name>

Recent versions of MacOS hide "Library" folders. Google "show library folder mac" for details.

@getdunne I have this but i send for shure not a complete folder inside the Forum where are includet my license keys. Additional  I think you should review the forum. to delete older stuff.

I see in the experimental use for controllers a problem (better Wilfried see it). They easy go in conflict. I use a lots of controllermate things.

Anyways its better you tell me the files you go on. With one or 2 controllers its ok this way. But not when you use controllers in other programs and special if you manupulate rights inside. Its a way to make it possible to allow things what apple do not wish and requests for M1 the new Mac things to work with Big Sur.

By the way is this folder is described in manual?

What you suggest now. Inside the Files you can see with which person and libary i was working the last time and its NDA.

I did installed several Things.

I can See Controllers inside the system. USB. But when i start the midi i have soundflower installed now but Not configured and also Show U audiocapture.

If i Open Midi Studio Audio Midi Setup do Not react Midi Studio do Not have a Server.

I can't diagnose your computer problems remotely, sorry.

If you want to zip and post just your Unify.settings file, go ahead. It has a "licenses" section, but it is encrypted and will not be of any use to anyone.

Ok i put as usual such With Debian Pastezone and it destroys after 24 Hours

Fact is that there was some files corupted and its mainly not Unify related. Midi can not connect to the midi Server. I do not have a Default.mcfg And the Files that are missed do not rebuild. I can ask i Think

Users/*your account*/Library/Audio/MIDI Configurations

It's good to have a zipped Default.mcfg in the same folder in case that the MidiConfig got corrupted which can happen from time to time.

Is the settings File OK? Can i write in Facebook?

I think i mainly need someone with a Mac and somehow Teamviewer or something Like this

Your Unify.settings file looks OK -- no big problems.

In the DEVICESETUP section, you have configured an audio output device (Tascam iXR?), but no MIDI input device. That's OK.

Unify might crash on start-up if your iXR is not connected, or is not working correctly.

It's perfectly safe to run Unify with no MIDI device configured.

The ixR is a device i use regular and i mainly use for controling a Sound with several cheap to expensive headsets. I bought used for just 30.- and If you open it the electronics inside is the same DAC that is inside Interfaces of the 300-400€ pricerange.

2. In the other Side i can use (and this is the plan) the device later for Geoshrek App because of the inbuild iPhone and iPad Features.

It will be important for Livestreams with Unify (future vision)  i speak Romanian and the Voice gets in my Phone system incredible PBX and will get a written text and translate simultan than a Computer voice in english or Up to 153 languages for the moment will go to Unify and Output is a humanized voice.
5. I understand that you and john do not Like to have visions postings with links in the Facebook Group or here. So i share them not.
6. At least there will be 4-5 Interfaces inside of Unify but not all time active. Audio Out ist main importance. I can test with different Headsets Sounds for endusers. Photo ist with the Eggs Monitors from Teufel a German Speaker Specialists. Match good for Easter Time.

I use in review Unify as VST this means in combination with 4 Controllers and iXR, Motu 986 mk3, Focusrite Saffire Pro 40, and RME. Do Not think i did pay much. I take sometimes one or 2 years before i make a deal. My class in regular less than 100.- €

The mixing is Part of Wilfried. I just tell hin the direction i wish.

I guess i have with the Interfaces above more than have shoes.

In fact my 1 Euro M Audio Midi Keyboard ist seen at USB but i do not know how to get it tun without Midi Studio. And i do not know how to repair Midi Studio.

@getdunne can you reset the use of unify. seems i have to do a complete new installation of the harddisc... there will be this way a complete new mac appear

Done. You should be able to install again now.

@getdunne Was not necessary. After you did a reset all was working including my MidiStudio.
