I am a brand new UNIFY user, Unify 2 in fact. I have a couple of problems with the Sampler 2. First, I notice that if I'm in the Sampler 2 dialogue, and I choose any other Sample other than the default sample (including the standard waveform samples) that is there when you first open it, The Audio level is barely audible. The most I can get is -29 db! The "Level" knob (2nd in top left row) is dialed to maximum. Is this a bug? I don't seem to be able to make any adjustment in the global level slider in the Unify 2 botom control panel that makes any difference. The other complaint I have is a behavioral one. The Sampler 2 dialogue does not play nice with my DAW (Bitwig) or any other MacOS windows.. and is in permanent "Float on top" mode, no matter what other MacOS app I might switch to, including Bitwig. The consequence is that I have to close the box with the upper left "x". to view Bitwig or any other MacOS app. Is anyone aware of this issue and how to fix?
Welcome, and thanks for purchasing Unify2.
I've just re-tested the latest release on my Mac M4 mini (Tahoe), hosted inside Bitwig 6 (which I just installed specifically for this test) and not experiencing this issue with the volume level of the other samples.
Can you confirm your OS/Unify2 version (presumably 2.05.0) and Bitwig version.
Can you also try in standalone mode and see if you have the same issues with the sample audio levels (not that I can think of any reason why that would make a difference). Have you fully unlocked the product with your product key?
Might be worth re-downloading and re-installing the main content files if issues persist (this is the first time as far as I'm aware that this issue has been reported).
In Gurusampler2 it will show a few folders for the main library/top otion, but actually you should select Unify Standard Library (orany other library you purchased), and then the different sets within.. 'SuperMegaSampler' actually is the name for a sampling of a few samples from many different original Unify1 libraries - so they come under lots of sub-folder names under the Standard Library top folder, then finally you can select the samples.
As for window management, things can be tricky in that we are a host running inside another host and different DAWs will have different window handling - but the the window behaviour won't be specific to Gurusampler 2, it would be the same for any other plugin hosted inside Unify2, when Unify2 is itself a window hosted in a DAW... Mac OS and Logic specifically seem to have some odd window and especially pop-up handling (in child windows) when we launch windows from within Unify2 - and bringing all plugin windows to the front currently doesn't work when Unify 2 is hosted in another host - that's a bug I'm not sure we can fix.
If you do need to close lots of plugin windows to get back visibility on your DAW session, there is at least an option in the main menu for 'Close all plugin windows' (to close all windows Unify2 has opened).
