This would include things like the currently loaded patch, recent patch tweaks, window size, Audio/MIDI routing preferences*, etc. Often, I only have short bits of time to fire up and work with Unify, so having to reconfigure multiple settings before playing even one note can be frustrating.

I am aware of the existing GUI option to load a preferred default patch on startup. While that gets close to what I am requesting, it still requires extra steps and ongoing patch file management. Many of my other plugins do this by default (e.g., Arturia, AAS, Scaler immediately come to mind).

I have been enjoying UNIFY 2 ... but there is one use I immediately encountered when I started using it: I like to think compositionally when I am in my DAW. I go from Clip to Clip or scene to scene and I would like UNIFY to be able to switch patches when I switch from scene to scene. ( My favorite DAWS are Bitwig and Ableton Live). I am hoping I don't have to add a new track for every different UNIFY patch that I want to use.
I do understand that there may be a Loading time issue when making patch changes... so in my imagination I envision having 2 UNIFY tracks where I can send a message (MIDI messages?) to UNIFY to switch to a new patch while the 2nd track is playing. Then I could have Loops in the Clip launcher that would change the Unify patch and then in the next scene the next loop would start playing? Does this make any sense to anyone? So far I haven't figured out what the mechanism for automation for making real time Patch changes in Unify. Does anyone know?

One example of where I use this in another plugin I use is in Modalics Beat Scholar, where I can change drum patters .. and even Drum kits by a simple change of the MIDI note in my DAW loop. Same problem there. It takes time to load a new drum kit, so there solution is to simply have to tracks where I can make make a programmed change while the other Beat Scholar track is playing. Pleasel let me know if this strategy makes no sense. I see lots of topics and discussion on Sound design using UNIFY , but I don't see a huge amount about using it in a composition where parts change .. in real time.

If so, where is it?

Just a silly suggestion.. instead of dealing with the complexities of constantly having to keep up with version changes, It my might be easier to use the same online manual, with addendums added for each new release where you can list changes or corrections. You could have links at the top of the document so that users can quickly reference the new version changes.

Also, shouldn't there be a link somewhere in the UNIFY interface that leads directly to the manual? Am I missing something? I can't find it.

I am a brand new UNIFY user, Unify 2 in fact. I have a couple of problems with the Sampler 2. First, I notice that if I'm in the Sampler 2 dialogue, and I choose any other Sample other than the default sample (including the standard waveform samples) that is there when you first open it, The Audio level is barely audible. The most I can get is -29 db! The "Level" knob (2nd in top left row) is dialed to maximum. Is this a bug? I don't seem to be able to make any adjustment in the global level slider in the Unify 2 botom control panel that makes any difference. The other complaint I have is a behavioral one. The Sampler 2 dialogue does not play nice with my DAW (Bitwig) or any other MacOS windows.. and is in permanent "Float on top" mode, no matter what other MacOS app I might switch to, including Bitwig. The consequence is that I have to close the box with the upper left "x". to view Bitwig or any other MacOS app. Is anyone aware of this issue and how to fix?

I'm having some sample library issues and I'm absolutely lost as to what the problem is. I created a bunch of Unify 1 sounds a while back based on samples converted from EXS libraries. Everything was working fine. When I updated to Unify 2 a number of patches stopped working. I get a Sample Load Error, and a box that reads No Such File: (sample location). the thing that's really confusing to me is that it's only doing this with some samples. Some are working fine, and they're all in the same location. I've tried moving, rebuilding - but I'm always getting the same errors with these same files. I'm to the point where I'm ready to delete these files and start the project over again converting the original EXS files, but that's a pretty big job and I would love to avoid that if possible. Any ideas?
