Any C++ programmers here?
I'm working on a small collection of utilities to help with creating and correcting unified library patches, but I need help. I'm using JUCE/C++, which has the virtue of being cross-platform (PC/Mac and potentially more), but the learning curve puts it out of the reach of most casual programmers. Rebuilding some of these tools in Python would be ideal, but I haven't the time to do so.
If you're capable and interested, please comment here. Thanks in advance.
The qualifier "capable" had me hesitate to respond, but I am highly motivated to apply myself to music tech opportunities, in a re-alignment of my vocational focus. My background is in corporate tech, used to be fulltime software dev, even worked at MSFT, before getting sucked into project & team management, consulting, blah blah blah. Burned out now with the typical corp BS, looking for an opportunity to align with my passion, not driven by paycheck. Hence my immersion in electronic music scene & related tools.
Been a while that I've done active C++ development, but a lot of time troubleshooting/maintaining existing code, so that reverse engineering skill could come in handy here. I've done Python in data science context, so data management definitely a strong point. Never worked with JUCE or VST/plugin development, and I don't have a Mac. But I'm a faster learner (when motivated), have time, and am passionate for driving the Unify project as an innovative music tool. Happy to chat 1:1 sometime to scout out further.
