I would love to see kind of drum machine or sampler inside UNIFY, that allows me load 88 samples into slots with INDIVIDUAL output. Closest thing I found is GEIST 2, but limited with 32 outputs.

I could easily load my large drum kits samples, and add effects into separate stereo output.

I'm not sure what you mean by "individual output". Can you explain what you'd like to do with an example?

You can use Combobox for this task.

Prepared an example to show the way you can work (s. encl. image). Pls note that I didn't inserted a FX into each output channel of GEIST (and also didn't connect every output) due to saving time. I guess you get the idea anyway.

Pretty obvious, too, that you don't necessarily need Geist for this. You can use any (drum) sampler. You just have to figure out how to make them correspond to your 88 midi (keys) notes. That's what the MIDI Filter in the Combobox can be used for if the sampler itself has fixed assignments.

@getdunne Every sample should go to separate stereo output. I know UNIFY don't have multi output yet.

@rainbro It still will go to one stereo output (for now).

The multi-output version of Unify will probably not do more than 16 stereo outputs.

Creating a plug-in with 88 stereo output buses, just so someone can put their own effects onto each bus and mix them externally, is grossly inefficient.

It would be far more efficient to create a drum plug-in which can apply different effects to each instrument and mix them within the plug-in, as is done in PlugInGuru's SuperMacho Drumz instrument for Kontakt. @rainbro's idea is basically a way to do this using ComboBox.

@rzabsky

If you want to give a more informative response, we can continue the conversation.

I'm still trying to understand what you're trying to achieve. Could you not just use three instances of Geist 2 in your DAW? That would give you 96 outputs.

@getdunne Tes I can, and I do this, but It would be nice and comfortable to use one instance of any plugin sampler/drum machine without switching scenes, without adding another instance, without unnecessary moves.

@rzabsky Thanks for clarifying. I'm beginning to get a hint of what you're after.

What about the idea of putting all the samples, effects, and mixing into a single plug-in, similar to SuperMacho Drumz? Is there something you need, that you think that approach could not do?

@getdunne Well I need to add my own vst effects into every single output, every single sample.

That's certainly doable. I'm curious about the kinds of sounds you're after. Do you have any links to music you've made with this approach?
