Greetings. If possible a user can set how many changes to a factory preset before unify autosaves the modified preset. The user can set the location where the auto saves can be stored or deleted later.

That's another interesting idea for combatting lost work, I like it.

I like this idea too, thank you. The challenge for all of this is to create the mechanism for tracking changes in the first place. It's possible, but not simple. Definitely on the to-do list!

What if unify kept track of the number of new layers being added it could trigger some kind of internal timer. Once it zeroes out the auto save happens. Just throwing out ideas.

I'm wondering if it would be relatively easy to have the autosave function simply create ".bak" files of the patch every x minutes after a change was made (any change). We could set the number of backups to keep, even keep them in a separate folder to keep the main patch folder as clean as possible.

I have all my patches saving into a OneDrive folder, so there's some versioning when I save the patch... I'm used to saving files often so I'm kind of doing this already, but eventually could be nice to enable an optional backup feature.
