Not sure if people would find this useful, or how much work it would be to implement, but for when you have dozens of layers (I love Unify) what do you think about having a container or folder layer that you can group layers into that can show or hide the layers contained within it? No processing or routing or anything else, just a visual tool to keep things a bit more organised.

I can see how that might be useful. And be honest it might be useful if that folder could become a bus 🙂 Sorry Shane 😀

@hallenberg     Could you use embedded Unify layers to do what you want?  It would take a bit of pre-planning or re-working you patch but that seems like it would do the trick. I could see an embedded Unify layer for drums, for instance.

@paull Ah yes probably. To be honest I haven't played with nested instances.

Yeah I'd love busses too, being able to output each layer into a seperate track would be cool, but I know it's probably a lot of work.

I thought about using Unify in "Inception" mode, it's probably the best way to go at the moment - having a folder structure would likely mean making the layers movable to begin with, so proably not a quick thing to implement at all.

"Inception" mode

😀 I hear you need to square-root the tempo at each level to keep everything in time.

Making the layers movable is coming, eventually. I have a drag/drop ability partially implemented, but what remains is the complicated part, so it may not appear in Unify for a while.
