Shane, I know this has been suggested and discussed before, but any chance we can bump it up on the priority list? The number of PluginGuru and third party libraries has grown immensely in the past year and the current monolithic linear dropdown list is getting unwieldy. I know that you have been considering options for reformatting the whole library/preset organization but even an interim solution at this point would be welcome. Maybe an XML file that would allow us to group libraries by vendor or category? The XML could even allow us to come up with Library alias names that would allow us to change the sorting of how the alphabetical list is displayed.
In the future, the ability to select multiple libraries while excluding/hiding others would also help John during his livecasts as I have seen him shuffle Libraries in and out of his Unify folder in some of the videos.

@karlfranz I fourth this for a more robust menu system.
By now I'm sure everyone's side-bar, drop-down library menu is a mile long and scrolling up and down gets tiring real fast! 😆
In the meantime, I've found a workaround with "layer button" (+) Layer very useful in creating some features mentioned above as an 'alternative menu system' organizing all VST libraries into folders, categories and themes (and it's easily editable). For me this is advantageous as this allows for faster workflow efficiency to get up and running whether it's for streaming, live-permformance, orchestrations or sound designing. With this I can see all my individual instruments or templates on my screen without the need to dig into side-bar library menu and scroll endlessly.
For example, if I want to pull up "Pianos" I just do the following:
- Press the "layer button" (+) Layer located at the upper top-left of Unify GUI (refer to image below) and a sub-menu opens up. Select the first option "Add Instrument." It will open another sub-menu sideways
- Go and select the piano folder and another sub-menu opens up
- Select whatever piano I'd like from my entire VST collection.
Image 1: In this example, a sideways, columnar menu system allows you to view all your piano patches by all developers (Plugin Guru, Cinesamples, Native Instruments, Spitfire Audio Originals & LABS) without the need to scroll up and down like you do on the side-bar library menu.

Here you can organize all your all VST library patches , Unify layers, orchestrations and templates any way you like via folders:
- Genre
- Category
- Themes
- VST developers
- Streaming
- Live-Performance Setup
- ...Anything you can think of
Once you save the presets (.XML files), you can edit, rename or delete the folders and .xml presets as you wish. It will update in real-time in Unify.

Daren, this is a great tip! I'm thinking I might make a short YouTube video sharing this tip with others! Of course we have plans to optimize the library browser but it will take time to implement.... so this is a great idea that works right now!

@pluginguruforums I am rare here and if you are on the way do not forget an extra field for copyright and make it possible in the browser to add the possibility for a clickable link.
Some examples are the Universal Sound Category system. Software example of integration eg is Soundly with a multilinguale Thesaurus.
