Right now a layer can listen to all channels midi or one channel : could it be possible to set a list of 2 or, better, more channels.
Could be useful to program a controller on ONE channel and an instrument on another one and that in the same layer. For example
my Joué MPE keyboard sends messages on 2 channels and I have to create a Unify layer with, inside 2 Joué layers where the channel
number is the only difference..and if I want to use my SoftStep2 to control an effect as Turnado...I'm stuck. Thank you Shane.
Check out MIDI Polysher, a FREE plug-in available from Plugin Boutique. It can filter any combination of MIDI channels, and has many other useful features.
You could also put two instances of Unify's built-in MIDI Filter (each allowing only one channel through) in parallel inside an instance of ComboBoxin the MIDI-effect slot, but to be honest, a single MIDI Polysher instance is quicker/simpler and more elegant.
GREAT, the exact answer to my request !! This Polysher deserves to be part of Unify..anyway
it could be useful to talk about it during a saturday livestream. Ten thousands thanks Shane.

MIDI Polysher may be free, but it's still someone else's product, so we can't incorporate it directly. I hope to expand Unify's own MIDI Filter to do everything MIDI Polysher can.

Definitely. I have mentioned it to John for exactly this reason.
