Macro knob lag ability

I really like the mod wheel 'lag' feature in Guru Sampler and wish I had this feature in VSTs.  It's one of those features I didn't know I needed until I got it.  Now I want it available in all my VSTs.  Would like to see a lag feature on the macro knobs so I can have this same feature available, in a sense, in my other VSTs.

I recall bringing up the lag feature many, many months ago for something else, but I don't recall what that was for.  I think this is a different request.  It's something I had wanted to use a few days ago.
