Not sure if this has been asked before but...

I often use macro knobs for switching between multiple MIDI tracks in MIDIBox.

It would be really handy if there was a way to specify a number of marks to be display around a macro knob.

For example, if using a macro knob to switch between 10 MIDI files the knob might look like this.

Ideally, when rotating the knob, it would jump between each mark and click-stop at each one.

There would need to be a way to specify how many marks are to be displayed. Maybe on the macro knob menu.

Note: I used the OSC editor to easily produce the above graphic just to illustrate the point. I'm not suggesting that you change the visual design of the knobs.

@zinct

This, and various basically equivalent alternatives, have indeed been suggested before. The basic issue is that a true continuous controller is not always desirable, especially when the parameter(s) being controlled itself is discrete-valued.

This is something I'm giving a lot of thought to, for a future version of Unify.
