(as addition to Autofade idea)
Wish there was "Soft catch" mode for macro - to avoid CC jumps when knob position on controller are not corresponding to position of saved Macro positions. Actually in most of the cases the fader is not corresponding.
Also would be nice to have adjustable Inertia factor for knob movement (in the beggining it moves slowly and only after some fade period it comes to target).
Additional option for Soft catch is to slowly fade Macro to the current position of a knob, when knob is touched (started to change).
Together, all three features i requested (Play-Stop for MidiBox on a macro, Autofade and Soft catch) - could improve the perfomance vastly.
Scenario. On a gig: i have 30 seconds long fade in for multiple params as a riser. And on the culmination some Break plays once (or loop).
I have knob assigned for all params with curves, and Play-Stop (should start on a bar) on top of a curve. Then i just start autofade, without need to control it for 30 seconds, i play solo and after fade is complete - beat starts automatically.
Than imagine, with Unify layering and Polybox, we can have a library of fx, breaks on two knobs - one to trigger and second to choose....
A dream for me :))
Thank you for these suggestions, and most particularly the detailed description of usage scenarios. I've added all this to the to-do list.
@getdunne
There could be also switch for short and long fade ranges.. Long can be from 20 sec up to minute long. And shorts are short as usual fades - up to 20 sec... (i think about actual usage)
