Hello Everyone,

First off, congratulations on a truly excellent product at an excellent price.

This has sparked off all kinds of new ideas for me. Which is what its all about. I like building patches which include alot of Midi effects, Unify has made the set up of making these sooo much easier and enjoyable.

Here are a few of things I would like to see in future updates and also some of the Midi effect plug ins Ive tried and work really well.

I would like the following

Midi to be output from Unify - so midi notes generated can be recorded. Cant get this to work if its already there.
A multi Audio out version
A way of being able to automate the macros from inside Unify, so if I want to send CC1 via Midi Effect etc. Cant get this to work if its already possible.
Midi Note Filters
External gear as a layer
A winning lottery ticket

Things I have tried, would love to hear from others about setups and combinations that work well.

Reaktor - Many different types of sequencer and generative MIDI generators and free mostly. One of my favourites being RIFFLAB (There is a free and paid for version $7 I think. Also Unify allows me to use different Midi Channels inside one instance of Reaktor, something that isnt possible in Ableton at present. So this alone is worth the asking price for me. Its worth checking out NODE and anything by Twisted Tools as well. But the winner is Blocks, now I can combine all my vsts in a kind of frankenstein modular. There seems to be a bit of a bug with Reaktor hiding dialogs behind unify, would be great if that could be fixed.

Remidi - This is a kind of MIDI File player/ which chops up Midi files, works brilliantly with Unify. Again the ease of set up is brilliant with Unify compared to a DAW. Endless fun.

Scaler and Melodic Flow - I cant play keys too well, perfect cheating setup. Scaler plays the chords Melodic Flow lets me play just the notes from the chords. Bit of a pain to set up in Ableton, piece of cake in Unify.

Great stuff.

Andy

PS if you still need a Wordpress person, that is my day job.

@andym

I'm glad to know you're having fun with Unify and finding it useful.

All of the things you asked for (except the lottery ticket 😆) are already on the to-do list, except your suggestion for a way to automate macros from e.g. MIDI effects within Unify. That's a very interesting suggestion and I'll give it some thought. The present Unify architecture doesn't support it, but it makes sense.

Unify presently has no MIDI output, so there's no way to record MIDI from it in a DAW. It's on my list to add MIDI output, but as you probably know, not all DAWs can record MIDI from an instrument plug-in. You mention Ableton--can it do that?
