Would love to have something like this in Unify.  Or the ability to load one shots into Guru sampler.

There is the Audio file player that will play an audio file once through based on the content of the audio file played. I use it in several of my patches that I play live. I assign it to a certain key that way I can trigger it when I need it. It’s located under Swap instrument Utility. I’m also careful that it matches the tempo. Also if you’ve loaded a sound you created and loaded into Guru Sampler, if you choose “Unpitched’ at the top it will play the sound once through as long as you haven’t created a loop in the WAV file.

Wish granted! Check out the built-in Audio File Player, added in Unify v1.4.

@getdunne @pbeprod Actually, I am looking for something similar to Ableton Simpler/Sampler....that would allow me to play a WAV/AIFF one shot as an instrument.  Similar to Omnisphere's "USER SAMPLE" capability.  I know there is a Sound Font player, but I would like the ability to play WAV/AIFFs from the keyboard.

I see. Well then it's either the existing, thoroughly user-hostile Guru Sampler sample import method, or wait patiently until I can make something nicer.

Thats exactly how I’m using it. Although I have dumped all my own samples that I had in Omnisphere into Unify and use Guru Sampler to play them unless they’re a long part of a song than I use audio file player which will play mp3 wav or aif files.

@pbeprod Are you using the "thoroughly user hostile" method that @gdunne referenced above?

Unfortunately. It took several weeks

In any case, I can use Kontakt or Omnisphere until a simpler solution appears...

I can also use TAL Sampler.  It also exports sfz files that can be loaded into the SFZ player (albeit with no envelope).

Here is the format:

<group>
<region> sample=..\Documents\MAIN SOUND LIBRARIES\TONY SOUNDS AND LOOPS\Pads\Serum Evolving Fifths C3 TT.wav pitch_keycenter=60 lokey=0 hikey=127 volume=0 offset=0 end=743219
