Hi,  I have noticed that with each new library there are attempts to make use of the newer midi effects (or maybe the new effects were created as a result for those new patches).     I think that a small amount of new patches were added to the guru files of Standard Unify Library to show off those new methods.  Perhaps more new patches and additional samples can be made available as a new release of Unify (rather than a costed extra library) ???  It may entice new sales. Perhaps some thought could be put into different styles of music (Drum and Bass / Heavy Metal / Reggae) -- I for one would love to tune in one day to see a keyboardist using standalone Unify next to a DJ doing a drum and bass mix!!!

@glenjdiamond

We've been thinking along similar lines.

Hi Glen!

When we release a new update with new abilities, I add new patches that present these abilities to Unify customers. If you open the "Tags" filter tab you'll see version #'s at the top of the list - each of those is a series of new patches I've added with those updates. All of those patches have been added for free. When new abilities are added in the future, I will add additional support patches for free as I have done in the past.

Please be aware that I make my living primarily by selling patch libraries. I am happy to release some support patches for free with Unify updates but this website and this business is still rocking because of customers buying patch libraries. If I didn't make libraries and if customers didn't want to buy new patches, this website would not be here today. So if you want a BUNCH of inspiring patches, the best way to accomplish that AND keep Skippy making sounds is to buy a new patch library every now and then. 😀

And I thank you for your understanding and support.

@pluginguruforums - and thank you for writing the additional libraries which I have purchased.  I am incredibly proud to be an early adopter of Unify.  Initially I was looking for a product that I could "play around with VST networking" using Shane's networking VST host.  I was already using Roland Cloud and could see that they had a few plugins that were VST3 only.  I knew that Shane's VST hosted VST2 so I wanted to see if Unify VST2 could run a Roland Cloud VST3 within it.   I did that as a test and it worked.  I was able to run a VST3 remotely across a network with the server hosting a Unify VST2 and my laptop runing a Roland DAW with Shane's VST.    Because of your enthusiasm and wonderful support for Unify, I became interested in Unify as a standalone system that is able to knit together different types of instruments and effects and I can see only good things eminating from Unify, and I have been purchasing your unify libraries.  I think that what you guys did with Discoverstation really does enhance the BBC Discovery/Core.  I'm unsure if I want to shell out for Core but I do have other Spitfire Originals Libraries that I know I can merge with your Discoverstation to compensate so, yet again, Unify to the rescue!!!  😍 👍
