I have a feature request that i've been wanting to ask you about for awhile now.

I would LOVE to be able to GROUP my added patches so i can see more easily what patches i'm using.
Currently you have to scroll through multiple layers and can't easily tell where one patch begins and another ends.
It would also be nice to be able to remove a group of layers/patches with one click.
Get what i mean here?

I would LOVE that function to be added!

Thanks for reading.

@sirfunkalot

I don't quite understand. Can you give an example?

I'm guessing he means adding a tree view to the layers panel such that groups of layers can be expanded or collapsed. When you aggregate presets using "Load layers to current patch", it's hard to determine which layers belong to which preset.

This can be solved by choosing "Load into new Unify layer" instead. However, I can see how it may be beneficial to have all layers visible in one window with collapsible groups instead of opening different instances of Unify to traverse through the layers. Not a bad idea, really. Might be a pain to implement, though.

@karlfranz Yes i mean just that. I use Studio One for my DAW and i have the option to select multiple layers and "Pack Folder" i.e. Group into a separate compartment of sorts for a cleaner GUI and better organization.

@karlfranz thanks for interpreting!

@sirfunkalot I've added this to the to-do list, but I have to be honest and say it will be a long time before I get to it. Unify has become much more capable than we anticipated in the beginning, and it's becoming clear that a major GUI overhaul is needed.

@getdunne I understand Shane. Your hard work and dedication to this project is very much appreciated, and i agree, a GUI overhaul would also be welcomed at this stage. 🙂
If you need someone to do/help with graphics just let me know. I am a graphic artist also and i am familiar with vectors vs bitmaps etc. I used to be a photoshop teacher back in the day. Just an offer; no charge, happy to offer my services if you'd like them. 🙂
