What if we could assign midi box to control the transport? For instance, I want to control the tempo, speed up at points, slow down, etc. Kinda like smpte time control.

Very interesting. It might make more sense to expose the Transport parameters for automation, so they could be controlled via macro knobs. You could then use MIDIBox to generate MIDI CC sequences to modify the Transport in an embedded Unify one level down. Would this be sufficient to do what you need?

In a DAW, you might as well just run your controlling MIDI file in the DAW itself.
