I would like to be able to use an undo and redo button in Unify. Maybe this can be made available in future updates?

@kalvinbkr

This has been addressed many times. There are two issues:

  1. Undo/redo capability is something that must be designed into a program from the start; adding it later is difficult and error-prone.
  2. A plug-in host cannot keep track of all changes you make inside each hosted plug-in, so even if we add undo/redo, it won't cover everything.

We hope to add undo/redo in a future version of Unify, but this will basically require a re-write, so it won't happen soon.

Hello, I'd like to follow up on this request. I found that I accidentally hit a patch and replace everything I've worked on quite often (forget to set the layer patch options). I'd like to propose possibly just storing the last state prior to clicking a patch on the right that we can then revert back to if needed. No need to store every change.

You guys are doing an awesome job.

-- I did notice that there was an option to prompt me before overwriting my current patch. I guess this works.

@laidbackdood

Have a look at these "safety features" added in Unify 1.5: https://pluginguru.net/unify/manual/doku.php?id=safety-features

@getdunne Thanks so much Shane, I guess I should have tried the Revert button, the hover description made it feel like i was just resetting.
