Enable/Disable MIDI Layers on the fly?
I tried to use the same method as for the Instrument Layers (see attached screenshot). But even using the Unify internal GUI navigation path through "Linked Parameters" from the Macro Knob context menu does not recognize the options chosen, let alone have a notion of midiEnable like the Inst layers. No stress about it Shane. Just wondering whether there are plans to make the MIDI Layers also enabl'able, disable'able? Because then you could switch between different latched MIDI sequences. Thinking about this now, perhaps there is already a different way to achieve this? Basically with the push of a button on my MIDI controller to recall different MIDI generators (not static sequences, but an active MIDI generating plugin, like Scaler). Not recall a preset for a MIDI plugin, but having multiple instances running and just switching the sourcing of MIDI into instrument on/off, over between different instruments & sources. Obviously would have to be low latency for performance, so there are no glitches (hence not pursuing the preset change option).
Just to clarify, looking for an alternative to "unify/midiEnable/1 ", but for the yellow MIDI Layers, not the green instrument layers that the midiEnable seems only be able to affect.
@getdunne Thank you for "opening the can of worms" of MIDI contrallability of Unify, I am excited for the opportunities to come! And I will stay tuned patiently 🙂
