John once published unified to Vital. Where can I find it?
As far as I'm aware, it hasn't been released yet, and John mentioned April/May at the earliest:
What @hexabuzz says is also my understanding.
As far as Unifying the factory library it wouldn't take long and I have thought about doing it myself. The issue is that there are 3 tiers of ownership (and also sub)...
Basic - 75 presets, 25 wavetables
Plus (what I own) - 250 presets, 70 wavetables
Pro - 400+ presets, 150 wavetables
As far as I understand it, there are presets in Basic which are not present in Plus so if I Unified Plus then Basic owners would complain of missing presets. I'm not even certain that Pro has all the presets available in the other two versions. I will contact Matt and see if he can clarify. UPDATE: Matt has confirmed that the free presets are a subset of the Plus/Pro version.
Then there is the issue that Vital presets can be huge is terms of disk space and Unified versions of the presets are likely to re-create all of this data.Would it even be allowed to share Unified factory patches if this is the case (as per Omnisphere)?
In fact I will Unify Vital Plus today, see how big it is and post back here with the results.
Watch this space...
UPDATE: In my version of Vital Plus there are 217 presets (should be 250) so not sure why there's less than advertised. Anyway, I have now Unified this version and it is 226Mb which is not too bad but a lot more than most e.g. U-He Diva is 11Mb. So I estimate that the Pro version Unified patches would be around double this when Unified and the free version around one third of this.
I am checking with Matt whether I can share the Unified Factory library. @pluginguruforums @getdunne Would this be better coming from you John/Shane as you probably already know Matt?

Thanks for the info. So I read later that John wants to do it in April / May. Of course, I will follow your information.
I have updated the post above.
A further update - if like me you purchased Plus or Pro versions of Vital when it came out (or maybe even the free version), it would have installed all of the presets for your version at that time. It seems that there have been updates to the preset banks since then as these appear in your account but not in Vital. You can download and install these manually but then you end up with duplicate patches. So the easiest way I found to update is to uninstall Vital and re-install it at which point it will automatically download the latest patches (remember to back up any patches that you have made first). I now have 257 factory patches 👍 .

I found 50 patches in the Vital.Bank file at https://muted.io/vital-presets/ and don't know how to instal

Just unzip the download and you will find a file called mutedio.vitalbank.
Run Vital and select the Import Bank menu (3 horizontal lines to the right of the preset name window). Then import the above file.

I already know, you need to download the sounds, unpack them and press IMPORT in the program and select the file to be imported.
Ready.

I purchased the Pro version, and was under the impression that the updated patches would be automatically downloaded and installed when they were released.
As far as I know, I'm up to date on all the factory patches and updates, and haven't had any duplication issues - Thoughts?
Maybe the Pro version is OK. I should have also said that I also had Vital set to auto update but it never did. Are the banks in your account all present and correct in your Vital install? For instance I didn't have any by Glorkglunk but they were in my account. It was actually pretty quick and easy to uninstall/reinstall Vital which made it update correctly. So I guess that would be the best way to ensure that you have all the patches.
Matt has now confirmed on KVR that there was an issue ...
"Ah yeah sorry about that. I had made some content changes before the initial release and didn't notice that the last upload had failed so some the packs didn't have the latest changes. Those missing presets in those old pack versions were still installed, they just weren't in the right folders so didn't show up in the browser I believe."
@zinct As far as I'm aware, I have everything I should - There are subfolders for content that had more than one pack (like Glorkglunk), according to the Vital page.
Are you on Mac or PC? On Mac, these are installed in a very... Odd... Place by default...
I'm on Windows 10 Pro and the default location for Vital preset storage seems to be Documents\Vital
Also, for anyone else running Windows (or Linux) there is Vital v1.08. The download in your account shows v1.07 but if you click on the green "All Downloads" text you will see the list below. There's no change log though so I don't know what the changes are but it seems to run fine.
