I would love to have patches to add these guys if you own them to Unify.  Like 30 instruments of key soft synths.

I have a Minilab controller that has a single "preset" knob that can "scroll-browse" the Analog Lab presets and the presets of any individual V collection instrument too (any one I have browsed that way anyway).

That "preset" knob sends CC 114 by default (I assume, I've never edited it).  So if you right-click one of Unify's macro knobs, select "Linked Parameters...", and click the + to create a new link; then you can navigate down the levels to make a selection: inst>layer>plugin: Arp 2600 V3, for example.  After you are down to the plugin level, selecting parameter: MIDI CC HELPER 114 [1] worked for me.  Then just save the presets you like as "Unify patches" and in the future you won't need to "waste" a macro on CC 114.

Well your timing is perfect, because I just sent John a batch of 25 patches for V Collection. Now to see if he thinks they don't completely suck...

Very interesting observation about MIDI CC#114. This isn't a standard MIDI function, so it must be specific to Arturia's instruments.

I wouldn't be surprised if all of the Minilab's knobs' (non-standard) default CC values are mapped to some interesting parameter of every V collection instrument also by default.  Those CCs definitely work as advertised on every Analog Lab preset, although there is the caveat about absolute versus relative mode.  The V collection instrument parameters only respond smoothly and correctly when the knobs are set to send CC using the correct mode.  I just remember Shift+pad1 and Shift+pad2 are the two Minilab "mode" options, and one of the modes works way better for controlling my Arturia instruments than the other. (IIRC, it's Shift+pad1 that works for me)

RE:25 patches for V Collection..
Will the VST3 versions of V Collection 7 work with this library?

Sorry, no.

Unify works the same way as a DAW. When saving, it asks each plug-in for its current state, which the plug-in returns as a "chunk" of arbitrary binary data. The format of these chunks is different between VST, VST3, and AU, so we have to choose one; we have found VST(2) tends to provide the best compatibility from Mac to Windows and vice versa.

To convert patches from VST2 format to VST3 format, it would be necessary to load each of the patches using the VST2 versions first, go into each plug-in and save a patch (using that plug-in's own patch-save mechanism), re-create the patch using the VST3 versions, go into each plug-in and load the previously-saved patches, and finally re-save the Unify patch. It's a lot of work, and very error-prone.

I've swapped the Arturia VST3s for VST2 versions. Works great.
Thanks

I was considering Unify patches for Arturia Analog Lab and/or V-Collection, and I found this old thread.

Is anybody working on this? Not everybody has an Arturia controller to browse their patches. And more recent versions of Analog Labs have become quite CPU heavy so that I personally prefer to work directly with the actual synths and their presets.

So is there a need/opportunity to convert Arturia soft synth presets to Unify? Can I see a show of hands who would be interested in this?

EDIT: just found this thread, which seems a bit more current and appears to answer my question (in terms of user interest)
