Babylon is a simple but powerful wavetable synth with a "single-page" GUI and a huge collection of factory presets. (There are also many add-on preset packs available, pretty much all focused on dance/EDM.) It has recently been updated to version 2.2. Plugin Boutique is offering it at only $19.90 right now, which is 79% off retail and, bizarrely, $10 cheaper than their price to upgrade from version 1. https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/4-Synth/13145-Babylon-2-1
I've made a unified library using the VST3 version of Babylon v2.2, featuring all 2,366 factory presets: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/f2ygslxqcgk0au6pmev6y/Unified-WAP-Babylon-2.guru?rlkey=12wvtqpxtpchx0kfb6p60tcm9&st=n7hh6azy&dl=0
I made this using a custom program to process the factory preset patches. I'm pretty sure they'll all load properly, but if you find any that don't:
- Let me know the name of the patch(es) that fail to load
- Repair each problem patch yourself as follows:
- Load the patch in Unify
- Double-click on the Babylon 2 instance to open the GUI
- Locate the correct preset using Babylon's own preset browser down the left-hand side, and click to load it
- Option/ALT-click Unify's SAVE button to re-save the unified patch
