Hi,
I have now finished unifying all the patches and instruments from CoreStation and upgrading them from BBCSO Professional v1.20 so that we now have ProStation for everyone who has that version of the orchestra. I very much hope that it will make Unify a compelling proposition for those users. I have submitted the files to John and Shane and look forward to their comments.
Patrick
This is great news; thanks for your work Patrick!
Edit: See my email of March 15th for guru files and new download links.
Does this work with BBCSO Discovery??
Hi,
No is the brief answer. BBCSO Discovery has its own set of instruments which John has uniified along with adding many different orchestral combinations. BBCSO Core (also unified) and Professional have different sets of instruments as Professional can use all of the extra mics that were deployed in the original recordings along with extra instruments. BBCSO Discovery is a wonderful starting point for orchestral compositions with a nice upgrade path.
Thanks much. Pretty steep learning curve here with UNIFY. I have now gotten the BBCSO Discovery set up.
I have now created guru files for easier installation and download:
BBCSO Professional Instruments: https://www.mediafire.com/file/q5drald7ffpfwl8/BBC+Symphony+Orchestra+Pro.guru/file
BBCSO Professional ProStation: https://www.mediafire.com/file/9enc0fjk9j9fgk8/PlugInGuru+ProStation.guru/file
Enjoy!
Do we (have to) do download these guru files separately or are they included in DiscoverStation?
Thanks for your great work!
Hi Patrick,
I have a quick question. Is there supposed to be a separate Unify library for PlugInGuru ProStation INST (as there is for Discover and Core)?
BTW, I also really appreciate all the work you put into unifying the Pro version of BBCSO! Thank you.
Ian
Hi Patrick,
Further to my previous message, I located the INST patches for BBCSO Pro in the directory BBC Symphony Orchestra Pro, which is labelled differently than PluginGuru Discoverstation INST and PluginGuru Corestation INST libraries (and I feel silly for having not seen it). No matter, it is there and working just fine. Another BIG THANK YOU to you!
Cheers,
Ian
